How the idea of the protective headrest came  about.

Shortly after graduation from chiropractic school, Dr. Terri Brucato was involved in a rear end collision. Although the accident was over a decade ago she still suffers from chronic neck pain.

After the crash she experienced pain from driving with traditional headrests that flex the head forward. That was when the protective headrest was born.

She started the patent process in April 2012 and is now in the prosecution phase of the patent process.

The protective headrest patent consists of several designs meant to keep the head in a relaxed ergonomic position while decreasing the liklihood of injury from rear end collisions without adding significant cost to automotive manufacturers or manufacturers of vehicle seating.
